Weekly Readings (Dec. 2 - Dec. 8)

I think it is safe to say winter is finally here. This week has been pretty crazy from final exams to facing the craziness to get my Christmas shopping done. Although my week has been crazy, I am starting my winter break from class which has given me time to do things I really miss doing.

  • This week I was able to actually sit down and read some books. I finished reading The Girl Of Fire And Thorns series, which is something pretty different from what I usually read, but was actually a good book. I also went on this book haul at this buyout store earlier this week, which I will do a separate post about, and I just started reading The Eternal Ones, which so far is a pretty good book.
  • So Allure Magazine featured Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen on their December cover... enough said.
  • Just two more days left until The Return on Chanel.
  • I am on board the fur collared coats trend, I swooned at the coats WhoWhatWear.Com featured on their blog.
  • And of course the weekly Horoscope (Dec. 9th - 15th) by The Free People Blog.

Untitled Film Stills

My first semester has finally come to an end, and with that was taking a week and a half full of exams and turning in projects. For my final project for my photography class I was really inspired by Cindy Sherman's Untitled Film Stills, so I decided to base my final project off of roles women play in Hollywood Film.
This project was a roller coaster. From scene manipulation to creating various cliche roles, I learned so much from this photoshoot. I learned what it was like to be at both ends of the camers. It was a very new experience because I work so well behind the lens and stepping in front of the lens for the first time, I learned there is alot of hardwork being the model as well. Of course I guess I had a hard lesson in being a model since I did this project solely myself, but doing this photoshoot has not only push my boundaries, but it has taught me things that I will continually use in the future.

Be bold, do something uncomfortable, whether you succeed or fail there is always something you will learn from it. -Yasmine Brooke

Pop Art Comic Book Makeup

Pop Art... It is one of those thing in the art world I worship and adore.
I love the aesthetics of comic designs and so in my spare time (I was really bored) I summoned all of my makeup and created a comic face.

You have to do stuff average people don't understand because those are the only good things.

Weekly Reading (Nov. 18-24th)

Fall is starting to say its final goodbyes and winter is approaching quite fast. Fingers crossed that winter brings along great memories and happy holidays! This week had been horribly rainy and dull, so I cuddled up at home with alot of blankets and many good reads and I thought I would share them with you.

I was so happy to see one of my favorite actresses, Jessica Chastain, on VOGUE this week, and I immediately bought the December issue, which took the last $5 in my wallet till next pay... definitely a Carrie Bradshaw moment. If you want a sneak peak of the photos, which were taken by none other than Annie Leibovitz, and a glimpse into the her interview check it out HERE.

I always love reading The Free People Clothing Boutique Blog and always finding myself reading their weekly Horoscopes (Week of Nov. 25-31)

Whenever I am looking for outfit inspiration I always resort to Carolines Mode which shows Stockholm's Street Style, and my favorite outfit of this week had to be Juliette's. I am currently into the all black attire.

This winter's fashion, I believe, Dior has got it going on. So when I seen the Miss Dior post on Paris in Four Months blog, I couldn't wait to see beautiful photographs from the Dior Exhibit in Paris.

So that about wraps up some of the reading I did this weekend, can't wait to see what I come across next week!

Now that I have got that apology out of the way, I have tons of projects that I have worked on that I am so excited to share with you! A few weeks ago I worked with a few of my friends to create a narrative for a photography project and was really inspired by Duane Michals work "Spirit Leaves Body". It was so fun working on more conceptual and very creative projects and this was only the beginning of what me and my friends have done... Enjoy!

Castle Adventures!

For this semester in college I took up a photography class, no surprise there, and every week my professor gives us a assignment each week that focuses on different perspectives of photography. This weeks assignment was focusing on Point-Of-View and Framing. At the end of the week we have to put up our best 15 photos for critique, so I thought it'd be fun to include you guys in on these different assignments and see what I'm doing! Without further ado, here is my Favorites!

During the past weekend I went with my family camping at this beautiful place and I happen to stop by this farmers market (hence all the animals and food) and then somehow I ended up running into a castle (hence the statues and mid evil styles photos)... Overall it was an adventurous weekend and loved it, but I am glad to be back in the city :)

Divergent Craziness Overload!

I am one of those people who will be in total reading mania for a good 2 weeks and then I have to slow my row and take a break from my mania for a week to focus on real life stuff, and then I am back at it again. Well guess what... I am back at it.
Everybody who knows me in real life and those who read my blog knows I LOVEEEEE THE DIVERGENT SERIES!
Whew! Okay... Now that that is off my chest we can continue.
As you should know, Allegiant is getting closer and closer to being released *fan girling* and the four shorts stories with Four *fan girling some more* andddd the movie *fan girling overload!*
Before I go any further you need to watch the trailer and behind the scenes.. lucky enough, I will link below.

I feel this movie is going to be more than I have imagined... it's just... everything is... perfect. Ofcourse I imagined things in the story differently such as the compound and what the surroundings would be like, but this project was nailed on the head. EVEN THE CHARACTERS WERE SPOT ON!
I have too many bundled up feels to even process the right words for everything that is happening, so let me know what all of you guys think... tell me how you felt about the trailers and how they seemed to you in the books... enlighten me while fangirling or boying!

Summertime Sadness

Hello everybody, I haven't seen all your beautiful faces for awhile! I know I know, don't shoot me!
For about 3 weeks now, I have been super busy trying to soak up what's left of summer and also getting everything arranged for my Autumn classes that are about to start here this coming week.
Recently I've been exploring everywhere and I have taken my camera to capture all the moments I've had while doing so.
Here are a few of my favorites!

Again, sorry for not posting sooner, but I've been so busy & there never seems to be enough time in the day to do everything I want to do. Like I said, classes are starting this coming week so after I get use to my schedule for school, work, and everything else then I will definitely be back to posting. Also I am planning on redoing my whole blog, maybe even renaming it. Since I am going to school for a fashion degree I definitely want to film and blog about everything that happens during my first year of school.
Call me excited!
