Vintage Goddess Hair

Summer should be nice and sunny not humid and sticky. The weather where I am is in the later category with a 99.99% chance of storms. So whatever ideas of having cute hair and pretty makeup you have can be thrown out the window real fast.

When I step outside the curls in my hair disappear and I'm left with a mane of frizz... ehh. I needed a cure and one fast, so I combined one of my favorite vintage updos (The Gibson Tuck) with a splash of goddess.

Life Of Jazz: No.1

As you all know, this past week was the 4th of July. It was a rainy week here where I am, so I didn't get to catch a lot of photos.

For the 4th, we all went to Prospect Park, which is this big park where many community events are held. The park was packed! I literally had to fight my way through the crowds! I survived long enough to see the fireworks, but it started to rain right when they started them.

Here's a little of what I captured while I was there.

 This week I also visited my Grandmother, who has this beautiful garden in her backyard and I admire it so much because it's where I spent most of my time during my childhood with my friends and family and it's a place I grew up around, so it's filled with more memories than I can count.

My Cameras Country Expedition

Hello everybody! It has been a few days since I've seen the face of the internet. This week has been busy.... from getting everything arranged for uni to technicians replacing our old internet to being out of town for the majority of this week.

Remember how I was telling you guys in my last post about buying my new camera? Well I did!
I bought my new camera literally yesterday and I'm still trying to work on it and figure out all the new features on it, but all day today I was just messing with my camera around my house and took some pictures.

 Basically these photos are just testers because I was trying to figure out my new lenses and such, but I couldn't do much more than nature shots because it was raining and I live in the country.... and there's not much along the lines of exciting when it comes to the dull country life.

I've decided that each week I will post all the pictures I have taken throughout the week and stick them on my blog every Sunday (The end of the week). I can already tell this is going to be cool :D

(Little side note: It was icky outside today... rain, grey skies, and all, so the lighting on the photos were not all that great... still don't know how to fix the lighting in my setting just yet)

Manicure Monday: For The Love Of Carnations!

The start of a new week.... but that's okay because it's Manicure Monday!
I use to do MM's a while ago and the motivation of doing it just wasn't enough anymore, but now I'm back to doing it.

I am never shy when it comes to my nails, so any colors or designs I'm up to try. This week I decided to keep my nails pretty simple, but I added a pop of color. I wear a lot of blacks and whites, so I always leave it to my nails to really finish off my look... it's the final touch and that pop of color really is a attention getter.

The pink I'm wearing this week is by O.P.I and it is called Suzi's Hungary Again!. I bought this nail polish in the Euro Centrale collection, which comes with many other beautiful colors that I also bought.

 I love this pink because it reminds me of pink carnations, and lately I have been inspiring a lot of my looks from flowers.

Who doesn't love flowers?
